The galleries don't cost anything.
Most gallery platforms meter storage and take a percentage of your print and download sales. SnapStream charges for neither. Every account gets unlimited client galleries and 20GB of storage, free — deliver as many sets to as many clients as you like. Face matching and WhatsApp delivery are the paid feature, and only on the events where you want them.
We store roughly twice what you upload — the original, a watermarked copy and a thumbnail — and that overhead is on us; only your uploaded bytes count against the 20GB. If you outgrow it, extra storage is sold at cost: $7 per 100GB per month.

How much does SnapStream cost?
Client galleries are free forever, with 20GB of storage and no commission on anything you sell. You only pay to switch on AI face matching and WhatsApp delivery for a specific event: Taster is free for up to 20 guests, Essential is $49 for up to 80, Luxe is $149 for up to 200, and Classic is $299 for up to 600. It's a one-off charge per event, not a subscription.
Is there a free plan?
Yes, and it isn't a trial. Every account gets unlimited client galleries with 20GB of storage, free forever. On top of that, the Taster tier lets you run face-matched WhatsApp delivery on a real event at no cost, for up to 20 guests and 80 photos. Free events keep the SnapStream watermark.
Do you take a commission on print or photo sales?
No. SnapStream never takes a percentage of what you sell. Gallery platforms that bundle a store typically take a cut of every order on their lower tiers; we simply do not have that line item.
Is it a subscription or a one-off charge?
Activation is charged per event, so a photographer shooting four weddings a year pays for four events rather than twelve months of subscription. Each activated gallery stays live for 30 days from activation.
What happens if more guests turn up than my tier allows?
Nobody gets turned away. Guest limits are soft: if you go over, every guest still registers and still receives their photos, and we prompt you to upgrade rather than blocking anyone mid-event. Photo limits are the firmer of the two, so pick your tier on photo volume.
Which plan do I need for a wedding?
Essential ($49) covers most weddings: up to 80 guests, 400 photos, and no SnapStream watermark. For a larger or high-end wedding where the gallery should be fully branded, Luxe ($149) covers up to 200 guests and 1,500 photos.
What does a festival or conference cost?
Anything above roughly 600 guests is quoted rather than self-serve, because photo volume and sponsor requirements vary enormously at that scale. Festivals, conference series, stadium sport and brand activations are priced per event, and sponsor placements can offset the cost. Get in touch and we will scope it.
Do I need more storage?
Probably not. 20GB covers a lot of delivered galleries, and we absorb the cost of the extra copies we generate (watermarked and thumbnail versions). If you do outgrow it, extra storage is sold at cost: $7 per 100GB per month.
What currency are prices in?
Prices are in US dollars. Cards issued outside the US are charged the dollar amount and converted by your bank at their rate.
Do guests pay anything, or need an app?
Guests never pay and never download an app. They scan a QR code, which opens WhatsApp, send one selfie, and their photos come to them in that same chat, along with a link to their own private gallery.

Bigger than 600 guests?
Custom guest counts, white-label, custom domains, and full customization. Contact sales. Festivals, conference series and stadium sport are scoped and quoted per event, with sponsor placements available to offset the cost.
