What is SnapStream?
SnapStream is a photo delivery platform for events. Photographers and organizers get unlimited client galleries for free, and can activate AI facial recognition on any event, so every guest automatically receives the photos they appear in, over WhatsApp.
Do my guests need to download an app?
No app, no account, no password. Guests scan a QR code at the event, which opens a WhatsApp chat. They send one selfie and they're registered, photos arrive in the same chat, with a link to their personal gallery.
How does the facial recognition work?
Each guest's selfie is converted into a mathematical face vector, not a copy of their face. As photographers upload, every photo is scanned and matched against registered guests at high confidence, then delivered to the right person on WhatsApp automatically — typically the same day for a daytime event, or by the next day for a late night.
Is it privacy compliant?
SnapStream is consent-first and built around POPIA. Guests explicitly opt in before any face matching happens, their face data is used only for photo matching, and they can type delete at any time to erase their data instantly. See our privacy policy.
How is SnapStream different from Pixieset, ShootProof, or Pic-Time?
Those are client gallery platforms, you upload, then send one link and hope people dig through it. SnapStream includes free galleries too, but its core is delivery: AI finds every guest in your photos and sends each person their own set automatically.
